THE South Fremantle Football Club is delighted on the eve of the 2016 WAFL season to announce a new Major Partnership with Fremantle Community Bank® that will include the WAFL naming rights of Fremantle Oval for 2016.

The new Partnership between the Bulldogs and Fremantle Community Bank® will see the Club's home ground renamed Fremantle Community Bank® Oval for all South Fremantle Home Games during the 2016 and 2017.

All WAFL home games played at the venue will now be referred to as Fremantle Community Bank® Oval in all communication.

The multi-year agreement between the two parties is based on joint community initiatives, with both the South Fremantle Football Club and Fremantle Community Bank® focussed on helping the Fremantle community as much as possible through the new Partnership.

South Fremantle Football Club President, Haydn Raitt, is looking forward to a long and successful Partnership with Fremantle Community Bank®.

"We are proud to be involved with such a wonderful community partner and an organisation that has done a lot for the City of Fremantle," Raitt commented.

"To become a Major Partner at South Fremantle Football Club is a sign of their long-term commitment to us, WAFL football and the Fremantle community as a whole”.

"We would like to thank Fremantle Community Bank® for supporting the future of our organisation. We look forward to working closely on the partnership together."

The Major Partnership is not only a significant boost for the local community, but is a tremendous commitment from Fremantle Community Bank® to the South Fremantle Football Club ahead of the new WAFL season.

Chair of Fremantle Community Financial Services Ltd, which oversees the operations of Fremantle Community Bank®, Debra Rule, said that the Bank was excited to partner with an organisation so closely tied to the local community.

“South Fremantle Football Club is the premier family club with strong and historic community connections,” Ms Rule said.

“We know that the Fremantle community is very passionate about footy and the iconic Fremantle Oval and South Fremantle Football Club are a key part of the football culture in Fremantle.

“Fremantle Community Bank® is excited to collaborate with such a community-minded and engaged partner and we look forward to progressing our support of footy and other community initiatives together.”

The announcement of the Major Partnership coincides with the 10th anniversary of Fremantle Community Bank®, which opened in Adelaide Street, Fremantle in 2006.

The 2016 WAFL season will begin with South Fremantle hosting West Perth at Fremantle Community Bank® Oval on Saturday March 19.
