South Fremantle teacher wins Ambassador of the Year

Beeliar Primary School Teacher Nicole Hughes is the WAFL Primary School Ambassador of the Year! Nicole, a finalist in 2007, was rapt to take out the award in 2008.

'It's fantastic to be rewarded and recognised for something you love doing everyday', she said in her acceptance speech.

Her work in promoting the '150 Year Celebrations' among her students and her involvement with after school Auskick and female participation were held in high regard with the selection panel.

South Fremantle Development Officer Lou McKenry also gives high praise to Nicole's involvement with the Bulldog's District.

'She is always willing to put her hand up and help out with district activities and events. She is a fantastic ambassador for AFL and it's fantastic that she has been recognised for all of her hard work this year'.

Nicole and her husband Nathan look forward to enjoying their prize - a trip to Melbourne to watch the AFL finals series.
