FORMER PLAYER REACHES 100 YEAR MILESTONE

FORMER PLAYER REACHES 100 YEAR MILESTONE

Alan Miguel played his first game of league football for South Fremantle in 1932 the same year the 22 year old Ron Doig assumed the dual responsibilities of captain and coach and died as a result of a hard knock tot he head in a bruising semi final loss to East Perth.  Seventy eight years after his debut Allan Miguel resides at Braemar House in East Fremantle.  On Saturday 7 August 2010 Allan turned 100 and he is to the best of our knowledge the club’s oldest surviving league player.

A small contingent of players and staff made their way to Braemar House to congratulate Allan on reaching his  100 year milestone and presented him with some Bulldogs merchandise to wear during the colder weather.
